Vice President

Isn’t it odd that the vice president gets sworn in first? If you’re building to a climax, it’s right, but isn’t the swearing in of the president more important?

Wasn't That A Time

Obama was talking about Valley Forge when he talked about the blood in the snow? And the currents: crossing the Delaware. And then marching down the road in front of my house–though it wasn’t there at the time.

Why

I think this is a historic moment. I’m curious what Rick Warren will say for the invocation, the inaugural address, of course, and Lowrie’s benediction. I think I’ve read some of Lowrie’s stuff. A thoughtful man.

On Bones and Things

Elwood arrived on my lap to say it was almost 8 o’clock. Time to go out. So we did. It has been snowing. Not much you understand. I was wearing my crocs, of course, klogs, lined but still the holes on top can take in snow and there’s not a whole lot of insolation. Well, Elwood did his thing and then decided to sniff. New snow. Cabin Fever

Elwood and I are suffering from cabin fever. Yesterday the temp went up but the wind chills are fierce. Some light snow overnight and thru the day. I didn’t get to the vacuuming so still have it to do. Sadly, Jott is going paid only so i deleted my account. I enjoyed listening to feeds and doing updates from the phone. Maybe I’ll get into txt msging after all. The dealer who sold me the Trekker Breeze suggested I get an extended life battery for the xv6700 cell phone. He has this model on Verizon and has had no problems. The battery arrived yesterday with a new back for the phone. It seems to get a better signal in the low signal area of the apartment though it does not increase the signal in the better areas. It’s supposed to last longer, too. I’m hoping this resolves some of my cell phone issues.
