  I leave this open. In a way, just being an independent operator outside of Pantheran control is sufficient.

  • She's a cold fish, very self-contained and very focused on her own needs.
  • She is not a team player and has little regard for others, e.g., the coin woman and the captain of the cargo ship she has contracted with to take her out of the system.
  • Tamara will fire her for negligence and not coming back with any information..
  • Ronnie will be tasked with going to the historical society and asking questions.
  • Ronnie will also need to find someone to tell of the coin woman's death.
  • It is because Ronnie is going to inform next of kin that prompts Tamara to ask her to talk with the historical society.

  At this point, I do not need to answer this question. The Fungusians have noticed signals in other star systems which have failed colonies in them. They want to know if there are signals here which is why they want upgraded sensors on Star's ride. The Fungusians have made a financial arrangement with Star to allow them to stay in system while the sandboxed sensors are installed and to survey the star system afterwards. This gives Ronnie time on the planet to wrap up her investigation and provide Tamara with more information.
